Founded in 1994 TechWise provided support to Commercial and Government Clients in the Performance Improvement and Information Technology (IT) fields. TechWise initially offered IT training to business professionals and IT software consulting services. TechWise grew into providing Military Training and Exercise Support in 2006. Since its original charter, TechWise expanded to add Defense Strategy Analysis, Training, Exercise and Operational Support, and Staff Augmentation for Military, as Prime and Subcontractor. Throughout all the growth TechWise never wavered…everything TechWise does focuses on improving human performance. TechWise succeeded and grew into a Corporation with highly qualified and experienced Military Analysts, Technical Experts, Service Providers, and Management Staff. We are proud to support Government and commercial Customers worldwide.
Chronological History
19941994TechWise was founded, specializing in custom data-base development and creating proprietary software for small to medium sized businesses, helping them improve performance through automating business processes.
2000Customer base grew to multiple states within the US, began supporting a large Fortune 100 Company, developing a custom Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System.
2001TechWise incorporated in Colorado as a professional technical training and technology consulting firm.
2002Expanded to delivering custom training programs for disabled veterans. Worked closely with the US Department of Veterans Affairs to expand our offerings for dislocated workers.
2003Developed Information Assurance capabilities. Was recognized for successfully delivering the pilot training program for DODD 8570.1.
2004Recognized as the only Company in the United States able to deliver authorized Sun, Microsoft, and Cisco training. Our courses transferred to accredited institutions and Students were able to use their GI Bill to attend TechWise.
2005TechWise invested heavily in a strong infrastructure for Government Contracts, focusing on business development, proposal development, establishing a Board of Advisors, and purchasing a Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA)-compliant accounting system.
2006TechWise successfully expanded our US Military Training Support. Stood up numerous contracts in multiple States.
2007TechWise experienced over 100% growth in revenue and continued to expand across the United States.
2008TechWise began to receive official Government Contractor Performance Assessment Ratings (CPAR). Our Government past performance library grew to support multiple Branches of the Service and Government Agencies while continuing to support commercial Clients. Shawnee Huckstep received the Small Business Administration “Person of the Year” Award.
2009TechWise experienced continued growth in volume and complexity of work. TechWise gained the prestigious approval of an SBA 8(a) Mentor/Protégé Program for TechWise and L-3 GS$ES.
2010TechWise received the “Company to Watch” Award from the Colorado Economic Development Council.
2011TechWise wins Prime Contract to support US Military CONUS-wide and OCONUS. TechWise expands overseas and establishes an office in the UAE.
Growth
TechWise experienced at least 50% growth in each of the last three years. Our growth is possible because of our people’s strength. Our Company foundation is based upon hiring the right people for the job. The Company has all the infrastructure needed to rapidly surge to support our Customers’ needs, over 100 years of combined Military and Business Experience, documented processes, and lessons learned, a flat management organization which allows responsiveness to our Customers. Our past performance supporting our Customers speaks volumes. We grow through word of mouth, referrals, and being innovative.
