Whether you are a Veteran looking for a new career or a transitioning Military Member, TechWise understands that finding the right job can be an intimidating task. Your Military occupational specialty may be very specific, e.g., accountant, engineer, tanker, weapons specialist, chemical/biological/nuclear specialist, pilot, or logistics manager. However, you have gained many skills sets complimentary to leadership and management roles TechWise looks for in our All Volunteer Force. We hire prior Military Personnel because you learned how to work as part of a team, how to adapt to changing circumstances, and how to keep plugging away till the job is done. TechWise recognizes the value and growing appreciation of having Military-trained Employees in the civilian workforce. Those who wore our Nation’s uniforms are mission-focused, highly skilled, motivated, and possess unique experiences and technical knowledge. Military candidates embody TechWise core values of leadership, team work, and the ability to provide high-quality services to our Military, Community, and Nation. Our recruitment team realizes this and is committed to ensuring Military Personnel know how much we want to hire them. TechWise has a comprehensive benefits package including paid Personal Time off, short-and long-term disability and 401 (k). We know Veterans have much to offer. They are educated, disciplined, professional, self-starters, detail oriented, and have a very strong work ethic. To welcome new employees entering the workforce TechWise uses prior Military Employees to serve as mentors. Our mentors help prospective employees translate Military skills into skills that civilian employers understand through our mentorship program. We give thanks to our transitioning Military Members for their sacrifices and express our appreciation to our most treasured resource, the Service Member, for all you have done for us.

Mentorship Program
The TechWise Mentorship Program was created by Mrs. Shawnee Huckstep to provide transition and job assistance services to Service Members retiring from the Colorado Springs Military Community. Our CEO’s intent is to provide our most treasured resource, the American Service Member, with Life after the Military tools to prepare them to successfully enter the civilian sector. TechWise strives to assist Military Personnel with the employment search process, providing empathetic guidance, resources, and support during their transition. Because TechWise has a great working relationship with the Fort Carson Army Career and Alumni Program (ACAP) Office we are regularly invited to attend the ACAP Employee Panel Seminar. The Employee Panel provides Service Members with ample time to ask questions, network, and not be overwhelmed on transitioning from the Military. After the panel, TechWise holds one-on- one sessions and we invite Service Members to visit TechWise.
When a Service Member arrives at TechWise, the Corporate Recruiter or Regional Program Manager provide the Service Member with a tour of our facility and introduce the Service Member to our CEO, CFO, HR, General Manager, and Directors of Operations and Communications. From there the Service Member is invited to have one-hour long conversation with one of our Regional Program Managers. All of our Regional Program Managers are retired Military and provide the Service Member with information to prepare him/her for life after the Military. During the session, the Program Manager takes time to discuss salary expectations, resumes, small business versus large business operations, and where the Service Member best feels he/ she can fit into the Community.
TechWise believes in preparing Veterans to succeed in meaningful jobs in the Colorado Springs Community and we take our Mentorship Program seriously. Our National Economy and Public Welfare depend on our Best Men and Women to be all that they can be even after their Military life.
TechWise’s ability to hire seven employees in a matter of days for our new UAE Contract was a direct result of our Mentorship Program. Our Mentorship Program allowed TechWise to provide former Service Members with the correct skill set and experience to meet our UAE Customer’s expectations.
