TechWise’s Program Manager J Chesney attended the 2011 AUSA Conference in Washington DC. The annual conference attracted over 35,000 visitors, including 18 Members of Congress and over 200 Congressional Staffers, senior DoD Representatives, Intelligence Community Representatives, US Military Members, Think Tanks, and foreign Military Partners.

The AUSA Conference is one of the largest Land Warfare Expositions and professional development forums in the world. The conference consists of informative presentations, panel discussions on pertinent Military and National Security Subjects, workshops, and important AUSA business meetings. The three-day event included over 700 Industry and Military Exhibits. Presentations on the state of the Army and related Defense subjects were given by the Secretary of the Army, the Army Chief of Staff, and other senior Army and Department of Defense Representatives.

Not only was the US Military on display, but Australia, Great Britain, Canada, and a host of other countries were in attendance along with a number of vendors. During the conference, top Military Leaders spoke on a number of topics, ranging from high technology water bottles to suicide prevention. There were also discussions about how Reserve Components are contributing to the Army's success, and Military Spouse employment, post traumatic stress disorder, and traumatic brain injury.
