Job Title: Role Player - Foreign Language Speaker (FLS) Department: Operations Reports to: Operations Manager Location: Fort Hood, Texas FLSA Status: Non-Exempt / Service Contract Act Job Summary: The Foreign Language Speaker (FLS) has experience in speaking the foreign native language in Afghanistan of Pashtu/Dari/or Persian. The FLS Role-player will participate in various military exercises replicating scenarios in Afghanistan. A FLS may be required to play roles such as a member of the Afghan National Army, Afghan National Police, Afghan National Security Forces, Afghan Border Patrol, Afghan government official, dignitaries or local populace, or as an employed local interpreter. A FLS should be proficient in one of the native Afghani languages (Pashtu/Dari/or Persian) in order to converse with other foreign native language speakers. The FLS must be able to understand and speak basic English well enough to converse with other English speakers proficiently. Requirements: ·Able to speak fluent Pashtu/Dari/or Persian and effectively converse in Basic English · Must be able to perform assigned role under inclement weather conditions such as rain, sleet, snow, humidity, heat, etc ·Must be physically capable of walking up to five miles and standing for extended periods of time ·Must be physically capable of carrying up to 20 pounds of equipment and working in an outdoor field environment, must be able to operate a radio ·Must be proficient in English (able to speak and understand) ·Must have a favorable Criminal Background check ·Must submit to random alcohol and drug tests when applicable Qualifications: ·Must be at least 18 years of age ·Must be eligible to work in the United States upon hire ·Must be able to speak native Pashtu/Dari/or Persian ·Must be proficient in English (able to speak and understand) NOTE: The preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees with this classification.
