TechWise Celebrates 20 Years

This year marks a major milestone for TechWise…celebrating 20 years of success! And although we have diversified over the years, our focus remains the same – we are passionate about helping our clients achieve positive results, by providing solutions focused on human performance improvement that integrate strategy, systems, education, and training.

Of course, we wouldn’t be where we are today without our past and present Clients, business associates and Employees, and we pass on our sincerest thanks for being part of our success story.

We’re very proud of our achievements, and would like to share some of our historical moments with you, from the start of the Company until today.

1994 Company was formed.  TechWise initially specialized in custom database and proprietary software development for small to medium sized businesses, helping them improve performance through automating business processes.
1994-2006 TechWise grew, and became incorporated in Colorado as a professional Technical Training Company and Consulting Firm.  TechWise also expanded into Cyber Security and Technology Training and became the only U.S. Company to deliver Authorized Sun, Microsoft and Cisco certification training.  In 2004, TechWise was accepted into the 8(a) U.S. Small Business Administration program.
2005-2010 TechWise expanded into the U.S. Military Training Support market and provided customers with training, logistics, doctrine development and Centers of Excellence education and training support.  TechWise was awarded 23 Government contracts as either a Prime or Sub Contractor during this period.  In 2008, Mrs. Shawnee Huckstep, founder and CEO of TechWise, was invited to the White House to receive the U.S. Small Business Administration Colorado Small Business “Person of the Year” Award.
2010 – present TechWise diversified the business into the Middle East and entered the Gulf Cooperation Council market.  TechWise has primed 11 contracts with multiple customers in the region, rising to the challenge of different languages, laws, currencies, cultures and performance expectations.  TechWise excelled in transcending cultural differences, and experenced significant growth and profitability.  In 2012, Mrs. Shawnee Huckstep was one of 12 winners to receive the Colorado Springs Business Journal, Women of Influence Award.  In 2014, TechWise was selected as one of 50 winners to receive the prestigious Colorado Companies to Watch Award.
