TechWise started over 23 years ago as an IT training and software consulting company. Since then, it has grown and diversified into a multi-national government, military, and business consulting and services organization with headquarters in both the United States and the United Arab Emirates.

TechWise’s ability to proactively adapt to changing environments and needs, while maintaining its focus on technology and systems-based solutions has garnered the company strong revenue growth and multiple industry and leadership awards. Since its original charter, TechWise has expanded its core competencies to include Strategic analysis; Doctrine and policy; training, exercises and operational support; and staff augmentation for military and government clients, to name a few.

Shawnee Starr

Chief Executive Officer

Shawnee Starr is the founder and CEO of the TechWise Group of Companies.  She grew up in Texas and graduated from Baylor University in Computer Science.  She has combined her skills at analytical problem solving and her passion for building high performing teams to create an International Group of Companies helping both defense and commercial companies improve performance.  She has led teams across the world focused on analyzing problems related to capability development, corporate efficiencies, human learning, and retention. Her companies have delivered on over 1000 contracts world wide with testimonials across the globe. With over 20 years of training and consulting experience in the Technology and Defense sectors, Shawnee has developed TechWise into a recognized integrator and management consulting firm.

Dr. Predrag Pavlovic

Secretary

Dr Pavlovic is a former Navy and Air Force Officer. He served with distinction and has earned a Navy Commendation medal for his leadership, innovation and technology improvements while in active service.  As a director, and as a head of several departments he transformed the organizational structure for his teams to operate with greater automaticity and independence.  Dr Pavlovic is a collaborator specializing in technology, training, and innovation.  He has worked with large technological and industry giants such as Phillips, Boeing, NEC, IBM, HCA integrating C2B, and B2B communications and platforms.

Mike Wadsworth

Military Strategist

Mike is a former Army Colonel with extensive experience in strategic planning, operations management, and systems development acquired over a 30-year career with the US Army, retiring in June 2012. Upon retirement, he joined TechWise in July 2012 and served as the Program Manager for a multi-faceted Capabilities Development Project in the United Arab Emirates. He later served as the Director, Strategic Operations for TechWise Global with responsibility for understanding client needs, defining solutions, and leading multidisciplinary teams to drive achievement of customer goals. In July 2016, he returned to the United States where he currently serves as a Senior Program Manager for TechWise with responsibility for business development in the DoD market as well as business development support to TechWise Global for the Middle East market. He has over 6 years of business experience in the Middle East market. He earned a master’s degree in education from the University of Louisville, a master’s degree in strategic studies from the US Army War College, and a bachelor’s degree in general engineering from the US Military Academy at West Point. He is married and has an adult son and daughter.

Brian Jones

Military Strategist

Brian is a proven leader with 30+ years of operations and management experience who excels in delivering results while consistently exhibiting bias for action and earning the trust of both partners and team members. He is a former US Army Colonel and a brigade commander, with extensive overseas and Middle East operational experience. Brian operates confidently with a wide latitude of authority based upon higher guidance, vision, and intent; and is very comfortable and successful when operating without specifically defined parameters. Brian’s exceptional communication skills enabled him to participate and excel in leadership roles, training management, and leadership development. As a General Manager he thrives in multifaceted environments and is skilled at complex problem solving. Combines strategic-level vision with supervision and evaluation of operational and tactical level execution. Active TS/SCI Clearance.
